Workbook 1 – Understanding medication and prescriptions. This workbook will introduce the many types of medicines you may come across in your workplace. When you have completed this workbook you should know and understand: Workbook 2 – Supply, storage and disposal of medication. This workbook contains information about the way medication is prescribed, supplied and stored. You will look at the requirements for storing different medicines as well as how medicines are ordered, dispensed and disposed of. Workbook 3 – Understanding the requirements for the safe administration of medication. This workbook covers how medications should be administered in a safe and hygienic way, and in a way that respects individuality, privacy, choice and independence. Workbook 4 – Record-keeping and audit processes for medication administration and storage. This workbook covers responsibility and accountability in relation to handling medication. You will also look at the different records that need to be kept in order to comply with legal requirements.
