Unit V1 Internal Verifier Award
-
I was let down by my previous training provider and transferred over to Steve Allison Associates Ltd who were really understanding of my needs and got me completed in record time with very little fuss. All the information they gave me was clear and straightforward and my assessor was very supportive. I learnt so much that has helped me enormously in my career since then.

The V1 “internal verifier” qualification has now gone. It has been replaced by three new “internal quality assurance” qualifications which we have explained below.
If you are not currently in a quality assurance/internal verification role but want to develop your career in this area, perhaps you are assessing and thinking about moving up to be a verifier in the future, managing a centre or managing verifiers, want to know about internal quality assurance principles and processes, simply want to refresh your knowledge and understanding of internal quality assurance or qualified with D34 or V1 and have not assessed for over a year then you should do the Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices. You do not need assessors or candidates to achieve this qualification. To achieve it you come to us for a day of high quality training and then complete a series of assignments over the next four weeks.
If you are currently or about to start quality assuring qualifications (whatever qualification type - NVQs, VRQs or others) as part of a team of internal verifiers/QA colleagues then you should do the Level Four Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice. You do need access to 2 assessors to achieve this qualification. To achieve it you come to us for two days of training a month apart, complete a series of assignments and produce a portfolio of evidence to show us how you have undertaken your internal quality assurance duties.
If you are currently or about to start quality assuring qualifications (whatever qualification type - NVQs, VRQs or others) as a lead internal verifier/QA coordinator then you should do the Level Four Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice. You do need access to 2 assessors to achieve this qualification. To achieve it you come to us for two days of training a month apart, complete a series of assignments and produce a portfolio of evidence to show us how you have undertaken your internal quality assurance duties.
