Want to improve and build on your knowledge of door supervision? If you obtained your door supervisor qualification prior to August 2010 and you want to renew your SIA licence, then you need to undertake this upsklling course in order to gain the Level 2 Award for Upskilling Door Supervisors. Door supervisor courses sat before August 2010 did not include physical interventions or safety awareness, this new course will upskill door supervisors to the level attained by those who took a course and qualification after August 2010. This is a one-day course with a workbook to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.

About this course
This course aims to renew a learners SIA door supervisor's licence, upskilling their knowledge on door supervision.
This course is aimed at existing door supervisors who achieved their door supervisor qualification before August 2010.
You must already hold a door supervision qualification.

The new qualification comprises the following two mandatory units:
- Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry - assessed by a practical test and a written True/False test which is set by HABC and marked by the tutor.
- Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors - assessed by a 10-question multiple-choice examination which is set by HABC and marked by the tutor.
The new Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors unit of assessment and workbook has been developed to cover the following subjects within the security sector:
- Counter Terrorism
- First Aid Awareness
- Dealing with Children and Young People
