  • What does the assessment involve?

The BIIAB Level 2 Award for Upskilling Door Supervisors is a qualification that has been developed to meet the mandatory SIA top up training requirement for Door Supervisors who undertook their training prior to June 2010. The qualification meets the SIA’s mandatory top-up requirements and appropriately qualified learners who complete the qualification will be eligible to apply to renew their SIA Door Supervisors licence.

  • Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors – a knowledge unit covering counter terrorism issues, first aid situations and requirements regarding children and young people – 3 guided learning hours
  • Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry – 10 guided learning hours (12 hours SIA mandatory minimum contact time)

This refresher course is run by tutors still in the feild of security, so fully understand the complications of the modern door supervisor.
