Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you wish to study Vehicle Body and Paint Operations and wish to progress within the Body Repair and Paint Refinishing Industry. You may also require evidence towards knowledge for the NVQ.

What are the entry requirements?
You must have a Level 1 Technical Certificate or relevant practical experience. You will be assessed on your English and maths skills at interview.
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

• Minimum Literacy Level: Entry 2

You can read and understand short pieces of writing such as letters, messages, simple stories, timetables and adverts. You can write short pieces of writing - for example an email to a friend, a simple letter, a story or a message.
• Minimum Numeracy Level: Entry 2

You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.

What qualification will I receive?
C&G Certificate in Vehicle Body and Paint Operations (Level 2).

Where can it lead?
Progression to Technical Certificate Level 3, NVQ or employment.

What will I study?
You will study either body repair or paint refinishing methods through practical training and theory.
An option to study Classic Car Restoration may also be available.

How will I be taught?
You will be taught through formal lessons, assignments and practical work.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through practical qualification tasks and online assessments.

You will have access to a personal tutor to help you throughout the course. The college offers a comprehensive range of student services including learning support, language support and guidance.
