What will you be learning?
The NVQ is a work-based qualification that assesses skills and knowledge and covers activities that relate to service technicians working on light vehicles.

You will study: Health and safety; carrying out routine vehicle maintenance; removing and replacing engine units, electrical auxiliary units, chassis units and components.

Assessment will be by portfolio and multiple-choice test. You need to be in a related work placement or employment to apply for this course.

What happens when you have finished?
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the NVQ 3 or enter full-time employment.
