This qualification is intended for people already working in the motor trade either as a trainee or a semi skilled technician.It is a modern award, recently rewritten to encompass the latest advances in technology, and it consists of six core units and two option units. The units include health and safety, diagnosing faults, replacing units and components, conducting routine maintenance etc. To qualify, the candidate must complete a portfolio of evidence and pass a series of college and Internet based assessments. This is an ideal qualification to progress to an NVQ level 3.
