Course programme

The BVetMed is a full-time 5 year undergraduate degree programme. As well as learning the latest theory and practice, you can expect plenty of practical ‘hands on’ experience, taught by leading experts in their field. The result is a unique degree course that will equip you for life for a range of veterinary careers.

All three areas are important and are used in our selection process to determine who will be invited to interview. Our admissions tutors consider all applications carefully on their individual merits. Conditional offers made to successful candidates may vary depending on performance at interview.

Additional information

Career opportunities: A holder of the BVetMed degree is entitled to practise providing they are registered as a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. The BVetMed degree is recognised by the American Veterinary Medical Association as equivalent to those awarded by veterinary colleges in the USA.
