Course programme

This vintage millinery course covers the study of hat styles and trimmings from the 1920 to 1950s. You will learn the forgotten art of draping felt and fabric to create hats, berets and turbans on hard and soft foundations using traditional techniques and materials. You will also learn how to recreate period trimmings and will also have access to some unique period blocks that the college owns. You should be able to make 2 vintage style hats during the week.

To fully benefit from this course you should have experience to the equivalent of our Millinery 2 course.


Level:

Advanced. This course is for those who have progressed through all previous levels or have equivalent experience.
