VRQ Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 3

Course Aims:
This City & Guilds automotive qualification is designed to meet the needs of motor vehicle technicians in the automotive vehicle maintenance and repair sector to an advanced level.

Course Content:
Candidates will study a variety of units including:

- Contribute to good workplace housekeeping
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle engine and component faults
- Diagnosie and rectify vehicle chassis system faults
- Maintain positive working relationships
- Diagnose and rectify auxilliary equipment electrical
- Inspect vehicles

Progression:
Successful candidates will be qualified to progress to employment within the vehicle maintenance and repair sector.

Awarding Body:
City & Guilds

Exam:
Indpendent assessment will be provided by the centre internal verifier and externally by the City & Guilds external verifier and online underpinning knowledge testing. The qualification will also be assessed on portfolio evidence which will be externally verified.

Qualification:
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Level:
Level 3

Professional Appearance:
Steel capped safety boots and overalls must be worn at all times in the workshop areas.

Duration:
One year
