VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make Up and Eye Treatments

Course summary:
This programme is a Cosmetic Make up certificate.

The course is one evening a week- 6pm-9pm.

Course content:
This is a part time course. Due to the method of delivery of the course

regular attendance is essential.
Makeup & Eye Treatment

Content Includes:-
Health & Safety at work.
Employment standards and working relationships.
Skin analysis & practical skin care treatments.
Make up including:- Day, Evening & Bridal applications.
Eye treatments including:- eyebrow shaping, eyebrow & eyelash tinting & application of false lashes.


Unit Qualifications

VR02 Support Health, Safety & Security in the workplace.

VR74 Support Employment Standards.

VR06 Apply & Instruct on make up.

VR169 Provide lash & brow treatments.

M16 Implement good working relationships with colleagues & clients.

Assessment procedure:
All units are internally assessed.

Units VR02 & VR74 are subject to an

independent examination

paper and

units VR06 & VR169 are subject to a

combined internal examination.

2 work books are required

to be completed which relate to the anatomy & physiology of skull face.

Entry requirements:
Formal Qualifications are not essential. Elements of this course are particularly suitable for wheelchair users.

Qualifications achieved:
Certificate in Cosmetic Make-Up

Progression opportunities:
Employment in cosmetic sales. Qualified hair stylists wishing to extend their skills.

We may also be able to help you with some of the extra costs associated with college, eg travel, childcare, equipment, books etc. In addition, depending on the course and the number of hours a week you study, you may be eligible for an Adult Learners†Grant.
