VTCT NVQ in Beauty Therapy Level 3 (General Route or Massage Route)

You will cover advanced aspects of beauty therapy . The course is designed to develop your understanding of advanced beauty treatments for the face and body.The level 3 programme will enhance the skills already achieved in level 2, whilst you learn new and more advanced skills. The level 3 qualification will further your opportunities, for example management or business owner.

You will cover in both routes:

• anatomy and physiology
• business and finance,
• English and maths,
• health and safety,
• promotional activities
• body massage

Under the General route:

• eyelash extension,
• self tanning,
• electrical epilation,
• electrical/mechanical facial and body treatment

Under the Massage route:

• aromatherapy
• hot stone massage
• Indian head massage, and
• electrical/mechanical facial treatment.

Entry Requirements

• A level 2 beauty therapy qualification, English at level 2 and maths at level 1, or
• an initial assessment indicating that you are working at level 2 and you are able to achieve level 2 English and level 1 maths within one year.
• You should demonstrate an interest or knowledge of beauty therapy and wish to take up a career in the industry.
