What's it all about?:
It doesn't matter whether you want to learn wall and floor tiling to purely to work on your own property or as an added work skill within a range that you offer, our course will give you the confidence and technique to achieve a first class finish to a wall or floor. As your confidence grows you feel able to cope with more specialist projects such as swimming pools and mosaic walls found in landscape gardening. This course will underpin your future learning.

Progression:
You may progress to higher level construction qualifications at the College.

Entry Requirements:
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:

· four GCSEs at grades D-F (including English and maths)

· a BTEC foundation diploma in a related subject

· an NVQ level 1/technical certificate in a related subject

· successful completion of the Jumpstart programme

· successful completion of the E2E/Prince's Trust programme

· equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.

Duration: Six weeks (30 hours) Course Overview
What does the course involve?:

The main subject areas covered include conform to general workplace safety, move and handle resources and conform to efficient working practices. For those undertaking wall and floor tiling you will also study lay screeds, prepare backgrounds, cut and fix tiles of various types to wall and floor surfaces

Wednesdays, 9.30am - 4.00pm

Course Fees:
£380 per year. If you are receiving certain benefits, you may only have to pay a material fee.

Instalments:
Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £95.00 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £95.00 per year

£80 per year.

If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees are not applicable for your course (Please note: this does not apply to foundation degrees).
