Warehousing and Storage NVQ Level 3

Van Hee currently provides training and assessment to achieve National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s). The N.V.Q is based upon the capability of the individual to do a job.

Competence is assessed through observation of practical work, supported by oral questioning and project work against nationally recognised standards developed by industry.

NVQ’s differ from more traditional forms of qualification in that they are not time served and there are no formal qualifications involved in their achievement, therefore the more effort that is put in by the candidate, the faster they can complete the qualification and become qualified.

Structure of the Qualification
The Storage and Warehousing NVQ Level 3 is a seven unit qualification. Candidates must achieve all mandatory units together with one optional units.

Mandatory Units
• SW2 Contribute to the provision of customer services.
• SW3 Manage yourself.
• SW4 Create effective working relationships.
• SW4 Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
• SW5 Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• SW6 Audit stock levels and stock records.

Optional Units
• SW8 Lead the work of teams and individuals to achieve
their objectives.
• SW7 Maintain the quality of external services.

At least one from the two optional units to be completed.

• SW9 Contribute to the selection of personnel for activities.
• SW10 Contribute to the development of teams and individuals.
• SW11 Respond to poor performance in your team.
