Course overview This course covers the development of websites using a range of tools, including Adobe’s internationally recognised application, Dreamweaver. It starts with the very basics of web design and rapidly progresses to creating an interactive website using some complex features. The course is suitable for those wishing to create personal websites or looking to start out in web design. The course is mainly practical but some theory is necessary. Areas covered include: Page layouts, templates & CSS Graphics, special effects & animation Site navigation Forms Interactive graphics & simple Flash animation Formatting images for the web Using video and embedding widgets Search engine optimisation Website publication Entry requirements The course is suitable for students with no previous knowledge of web design. However, a good knowledge of the Windows XP operating system is necessary. You must be able to work under your own initiative. Having a real website to develop would be helpful to the learning process. The course has a limited number of students.
