About this course
CLAIT, ECDL Foundation, prior knowledge of PhotoShop and/or other digital image manipulation software will be beneficial. In addition, a good degree of computer literacy is essential for this course coupled with a good knowledge of MS Windows (especially file management).

Course Title WEB PAGE DESIGN (LEISURE)
Course Aims:
The aims of this course is to enable candidates to develop:
A practical knowledge of web site design
An understanding of basic HTML
A basic understanding to Macromedia Dreamweaver
An appreciation of the web site development process
Course Content:
Throughout this course students will study effective web site design and production techniques, inclusive of:
Using basic HTML to format webpages
Embedding objects in webpages
Creating hyperlinks
Using FTP
Make a well constructed website to a saleable standard
By the end of the course students will have developed relevant skills and knowledge to enable them to create small web sites.
Progression:
Web Page Design Level 2 Award or Web Design Level 3 (Advanced) depending on ability and tutor opinion.
