About this course
There are no formal entry requirements however, you must be aged 19 or over, have basic familiarity with a keyboard and experience of the Windows environment. An appreciation of how internet web pages operate would be desirable, but is not essential.

Introduction:
The course concentrates on teaching students the design and construction of Internet web pages with text, links and graphics. Plus the underlying theory needed to create a successful web site.
The course will be undertaken in a formal but relaxed classroom environment in one of the Information Technology building`s computer rooms and will be delivered using a combination of lectures, short talks, demonstrations and examples.
Study Mode & Location:
This 17 week part-time course will last for 3 hours per week. It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.
Course Content:

Assessment:
Assessment consists of two practical assignments, plus a portfolio demonstrating your progress through the course.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course allows progression to:
- Additional units at Level 2.
- City & Guilds Web Site Design Level 3.
- Computer programming at Levels 2/3.
How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
