This course is 20 hours long (10 weeks) reduced to 9 weeks with 15 minutes added to 8 sessions.

You should possess a basic knowledge of computers and preferably be experienced in a word processing package (not essential) and surfing the Internet.

Description
This course is designed to familiarise students with Adobe (Macromedia) Dreamweaver thus enabling the design, construction and publishing of their own site on the internet for pleasure or financial gain.

After completing this course you should be able to:
· design a reasonably complex web site
· purchase and register a domain name
· use Dreamweaver to upload the site to the Internet and subsequent management

Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Each student has access to Dreamweaver on a PC, the current version is CS3. Students will design a page which will be uploaded to an existing web site. All topics are accompanied by written worksheets.
