And the end of the course, delegates will be able too: Identify the task related, DSE, furniture and environmental risks related to workstations. -Explain the possible ill-health and injury consequences of poor workstation design. -Describe administrative and physical control measures (including eye testing, and measures for pregnant women). -Demonstrate correct workstation layout and posture. -Evaluate risks and hazards in workstation use with a checklist and template. Suitable for: This course is aimed at potential DSE assessors or VDU assessors, HR professionals, or anyone in the workplace who has responsibility for Health and Safety, or may be required to assess the risks in their own or other workstations. the course is most profitable for those workplaces with 5 or more staff who spend the considerable portion of the day working from desks. (If you have less than 5 staff, our health and safety consultant would be happy to complete workstation assessments for you).

Poor work station ergonomics can lead to serious and long-term musculoskeletal injuries, as well as sickness absence.
