Course programme

This course is taught through the medium of Welsh. The Welsh Department at Aberystwyth has specialists in all the Celtic languages and provides students with the opportunity to combine a study of language, literature and culture – both past and present - in Welsh, Irish, Breton and Scottish Gaelic.

By the time you graduate from this course, you will be able to speak and write confidently, fluently and correctly in Welsh and at least one of the other Celtic languages. Third-year students will study abroad for their first semester, under the European Community’s Erasmus scheme.
