Basic vocabularly, knowledge and understanding of the basic present tense structure and ideally completion of Welsh Level 1 OCN.

Course content
The course is delivered in modular format comprising six learning outcomes:
  • being able to congratulate
  • express good wishes
  • sympathise
  • give, receive and ask for directions
  • discuss periods of time i.e. days of the week, months of the year, dates, holidays
  • being able to hold a conversation about needs and situations in everyday life

Course assessment
The requirements to finish this course successfully are:
  • to attend the lessons regularly
  • to complete the exercises in the handouts
  • to complete the assignments handed out at the end of each element
  • to record your answers on a tape, which will provide evidence of your oral competence
