Word - Next Steps

This course is suitable for learners with a basic knowledge of Word at Introductory level, such as saving and retrieving documents, checking spelling, aligning text, enhancing text, changing fonts and case and using Cut, Copy and Paste.

Topics covered may include any or all from the following list, depending on the existing skills and/or training needs of delegates:

• Copying and pasting text from other sources using Paste Options
• Changing line spacing
• Custom font size
• Adjusting margins
• Setting tab stops
• Inserting symbols (e.g. the copyright symbol ©)
• Bulleted and numbered lists
• Tables and borders
• Paragraph Formatting : Line Spacing and Hanging Indents
• Headers, Footers and Sections
• Using the Format Painter
• Find and Replace
• Using page numbering and other fields in the footer area
• Creating Styles: - How to Create, select and modify a style
• Working with images in Word (inserting and manipulating Clipart, photos, etc.)
• Creating simple posters and fliers using WordArt
