Who is the programme for? This programme has been designed to develop and recognise candidates' ability to produce a variety of straightforward business documents.

What will I study? The content briefly comprises: * Document layout - two page-report, single page report, simple table with columns. * Document formatting. * Headers/footers/pagination/page numbering. * Saving and printing.

Entry to the Programme?

How is it assessed? Informal assessment is ongoing throughout the programme, however, the final assessment is in the form of an external examination.

Future prospects? Word Processing Basic is part of the OCR suite of qualifications in Text Processing which are widely recognised by employers as benchmark qualifications in Text Processing. Candidates who are successful in achieving accreditation will be able to extend their skills by progressing to the Intermediate and possibly Advanced levels within the suite of units.

When will the programme start? The programme will start in September. However, students may also access the programme at any time throughout the year depending on availability.

How long will it take? The programme lasts for 12 weeks.
