Course programme

Explore the impact of dementia on the individual and the application of person-centred approaches to dementia care

As a health care professional, the national dementia strategy requires you to extend your understanding of dementia and how to apply person-centred principles of care in your practice.

We will explore the impact of dementia on the individual and a number of strategies that could be used to apply a person-centred approach to dementia care.

You are encouraged to bring an anonymised case example from practice, to share as a focus for discussion and exploration during the workshop.
