Workplace Emotional Intelligence
-
I have been increasingly interested in what it takes to become a facilitator within our consultancy. After reading up on what it takes, it was obvious that Emotional Intelligence was going to be important and so I completed the EI assessment with Eskil and attended their 2-day workshop about workplace emotional intelligence in Puerto Rico. The two days were very well spent with me being able to explore what emotional intelligence is, how it can be applied in my work, and how I can develop my facilitation skills.

We are a growing realtor in the region and this has given us some growing pains. There’s a lot of change and a lot of conflict. The fact that you guys took the time out to explain how emotional intelligence can be applied specifically to our issues was of enormous value.

Do you want to improve your Emotional Intelligence? This course is perfect for you!
Whilst Social Intelligence is referred to in the 1920s, it’s not really until 1983 that the Israeli psychologist Dr Reuvon Bar-On refers to the Emotional Quotient and then, in the 1990s, we hear from Mayer & Salovey which informs Daniel Goleman’s book, “Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ”.
Many current and aspiring leaders know their Personality type (e.g. from Myers Briggs) as well as their IQ.
Importantly, in the modern workplace, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is becoming more important.
Emotional Intelligence applies to everyone across the enterprise: leaders, managers, teams and individuals.
In short, Emotional Intelligence supports your work addressing a wide range of organisational challenges:
- Higher sales and profits;
- Benchmark and increase performance;
- Improved customer satisfaction;
- Improved recruitment process;
- Retain high performers during the current war for talent;
- Drive greater ROI on training spend;
- Build aligned and motivated teams – driving efficiency and efficacy;
- Create strong risk management;
- Reduce resistance to change;
- Help people to handle the stress;
- Enable better M&A integration; and
- Transform cultures
This 2-day course includes individual and 360-degree assessments of your current Emotional Intelligence - giving you an insight into key strengths as well as a roadmap for developing your overall EI.

About this course
This highly-interactive course will give delegates:
- Greater self-awareness.
- Increased self-regulation.
- Stronger motivation, empathy and social skills.
In order to achieve this, the course covers:
- 10 key areas of Emotional Intelligence
- the Return On Investment when applying Workplace EI
- developing your own personal development roadmap
Our workshops are based around confidentiality: senior people need a safe 'sandboxed' environment to explore their thinking and so we must create the right space for this to happen.
Based on this, our program is only open to such people as:
- CEOs / Managing Directors interested in growing their strategic capability.
- Members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) needing to bolster their strategic strengths.
- Members of the Senior Management Team identified for progression into the SLT.
If you are unsure about the suitability of this workshop for you, contact our Concierge Team and they can talk it through with you.
Completion of our individual and 360-degree Emotional Capability Report (an online assessment that is completed within 8-12 minutes).
An output of this short course is your individual and 360-degree Emotional Intelligence Assessment plus a 1:1 feedback session with one of our leadership experts. The academically-recognised report not only gives guidance on your leadership development pathway but can be attached to your CV / HR Record.
Facilitated by former CEOs and leadership experts, our multi-lingual programs are held in high-quality hotels where you will receive a luxury delegate pack including your own emotional intelligence assessment. Our sessions are limited to a maximum of 16 people at a time but our model has been designed for us to deliver 1:1 in certain circumstances.
