This one day course takes a holistic view of designing, creating, writing and promoting web pages. This is undertaken using practical sessions, discussion and demonstration. At the end of the day participants will be able to write basic webpages, and will understand the key issues relating to design and promotion. Former librarian, consultant and Trainer specialising in effective use of the internet, website design and optimising websites.
Phil Bradley is an information professional with many years experience in the field of electronic publishing. He has been an independent internet consultant for a decade, and his activities cover training, writing, website design and search engine optimisation. He has probably trained more people in the UK on effective use of the internet than anyone else, and regularly teaches on behalf of TFPL, CILIP, the School Library Association and others. When Phil isn't teaching he writes about the internet in professional journals such as Update and the online magazine Ariadne. He has wide experience of designing websites and advising clients on how best to optimise existing websites for maximum exposure on the Internet. Phil is also a well known speaker at conferences such as Internet Librarian and ONLINE, covering various aspects of the internet. Phil's work also takes him abroad to teach and consult. 'Phil is also one of the Microsoft 'Search Champs', providing them with feedback on their work in the area of Internet search.'
