WRITE, DIRECT + SHOOT FILMS WEEKENDER!

Brighton – January 23 & 24 2010

Two practical intensive film workshops held over one intensive weekend in a film studio in central Brighton.

On day one, you will learn how to write film scripts and direct actors.

On day two, you will learn how to direct and shoot scenes on camera with real working actors!

The workshops are complimentary but can be booked separately. No previous experience needed just a desire to write and direct great films!

Run by the writer director team behind CREDO, an indie feature film recently released by a Hollywood Studio and now on sale in the UK.

These are fun energising workshops where the focus is on everyone getting involved. You're not going to sit at the back taking notes – you are going to take part! To save you taking notes, a full set of hand-outs are provided at the end of each day.

Through demonstrations and lots of practical exercises, you'll learn everything there is to know about the basics of script-writing and you will write a short film script.

But that's not all. For then you'll learn the basics of directing actors and you will have the chance to direct your own short script!

Sun 24 Januaryr: Direct + Shoot Films Day!

Through demonstrations and practical exercises, you will learn the more technical side to directing including choosing the right shot, crossing the line, storyboards and directing crew.

But that's not all! Then everyone will direct a scene on camera using professional film equipment with real working actors.

You will also have the chance to work as assistant director, camera operator, camera assistant, sound recordist, art director, spark and runner on other people's scenes!

After the workshop, a DVD of everything shot over the day, both the rushes and edited scenes will be sent to all workshop attendees. You will also be given a full set of handouts.
