This short weekend workshop will introduce you to an understanding of the relationship between body, breath and mind for improved well-being.
About the Course
'The mastery of Yoga must not be measured simply by the ability to master techniques of Yoga but how it influences our day to day living, how it enhances our relationships and how it promotes clarity and peace of mind' TKV Desikachar.
Yoga is a traditional discipline from India. It can improve our well being, in the widest sense of the word, and so allow us to function more effectively in life. It offers the opportunity to take time away from everyday stresses and responsibilities and recharge our system. This workshop will introduce a number of yoga postures (Asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama).
The workshop will be informal and relaxed. This form of yoga is adaptable so that everybody however old, young, stiff or unfit can benefit. However, if you have, or have had, an injury, pain, operation or illness that may effect you ability to carry out postures, or you are pregnant, please let your teacher know on the day.
There will be an informal discussion, question and answer session following the 'Taster' Workshop.

On the occasion that this short course runs during a weekend, students should be aware that there may not be refreshment facilities available on site.

Are there any resources to obtain?
Students will need to bring a non slip yoga mat, blanket and pillow for relaxation and wear comfortable clothing, yoga block or firm cushion.
Students should ascertain course will run before purchasing equipment
