Approximately 70% of documentation presented to banks for payment against letters of credit is rejected because of various discrepancies. This has a huge impact in terms of lost revenue to the exporter and the buyer’s ability to clear the goods for import at overseas destinations.
Overview
We will explain best practice procedures which when applied will ensure letters of credit are paid first time every time. Delegates will have the opportunity of negotiating a specially designed letter of credit in the safe environment of the training course. Delegates will become fully aware of the workings and requirements of letters of credit along with the best practice procedures required for successful negotiation. The documents commonly called for under letters of credit will also be understood.
