Course programme
The 1 day course is suitable for candidates who have completed their own study of BS7671 and are familiar with its content and layout.
Candidates who require more in-depth training should undertake the 3 Day course
- Introductions and a brief overview of the main changes to the regulations followed by a 2 hour Mock test under exam conditions.
- Debrief of the results and preperation for the final exam.
PM:
- After an exam briefing and instruction on the computer interface candidates will undertake the City & Guilds 2 hour exam.
- Upon completion there will be feedback of the results.
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 18th edition) (2382)
This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant trade experience and other allied professionals eg surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations.
It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
Recommended study period: 30-35 hours
Candidates must successfully complete a two-hour, City & Guilds online multiple choice examination consisting of 60 questions.
The examination is open book. Candidates are permitted to take the following reference materials into the exam:
• Requirements for Electrical Installations – IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition 7671
Candidates will also require a non-programmable calculator.
