Course Overview:
The 18th edition is a new course that replaces the old 17th edition from July 2018 onward. On January 1st 2019 all electrical installations are to comply with BS 7671:2018.
Completion and certification of this course aims to provide individuals with a working knowledge of the current IET Regulations for Electrical Installations. Successful candidates will then be qualified to the current standards.
BS 7671 IET wiring regulations is recognised by industry as being an essential requirement.
The 18th Edition training course is aimed at:
· practicing electricians
· domestic electrical installers
· other allied professionals e.g. electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades who may need to update and enhance their understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations.
It is intended to ensure that on completion individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2018 (18th edition)
Full cost £350 vat exempt - UP To 70% funding subject to eligibility
1 day refresher £195 vat exempt ( non funded)

Entry Requirements:
Currently there are no formal entry requirements however candidates must have a basic knowledge of electrical science.
Each application is considered on individual merit formal qualifications may not be required dependent on experience.

Course programme

Course Delivery:

There are two courses on offer dependant on the candidates previous qualifications;

• If the candidate has passed the 17th Edition Regulations before 2015 then they would need to do the full course.
• If the candidate passed the 17th Edition IET Regulations from 2015 onwards then they only need to do a 1 day update course. However, they would still need to sit the full examination
N.B. COPY OF CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED WITHOUT THIS YOU CANNOT BE BOOKED ONTO THE COURSE
Day Release - 4 block days - Monday - Thursday
Evenings - Tuesday 18.00 - 21.00pm for 10 weeks

Additional Information: The course consists entirely of classroom theory with an open book multiple choice online test upon completion. It is essential that candidates bring a copy of BS7671: 2018 (2018) 18th Edition of IET wiring regulations (this is for use during the course and for the examination.) A calculator, pen and paper will also be needed. Calculators on mobile phones are not permitted. DEADLINE FOR BOOKINGS WITH COMPLETED ENROLMENT IS A STRICT TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF TRAINING
