2 Day Midweek Wet Plastering

The Academy has undertaken several contracts where students are taken out and introduced to home working areas.


They are introduced to the property owners and shown how to prepare the place of work. They are taught the complete method of Traditional wet plastering on the first day, Completing the finishing plastering the following day. The students are then shown how to clean the work areas and invite the property owners to view the works to assess the work carried out. This enables the student to gain the experience and confidence needed to carry out individual contracts.

The course content includes:

Preparing the woerk areas using polythene, masking tape and Duct tape

Introduction to health and safety

Measuring cutting and fixing of plasterboards to ceiling areas

The mixes and mixing of the wet plaster.

The measuring, cutting and fixing of galvanised angle bead.

The methods of screeding to walls, and keying.

The application of 2 coat finishing plaster to an egg shell finish

Cleaning down of all work areas to clients satisfaction
