Course content

Mechanical to Electrical Training on site 3 days intensive:

Electrical principles, fundamentals of voltage and current UK power network, overview of generation and transmission Basic first aid, treatment of electric shock Protective devices, understanding of fuses, circuit breakers and RCD's Safe isolation, practical procedures, including the use of GS38 compliant testers UK legislation and electricity at work act 1989 Electromagnetic induction, concepts behind motors, transformers and solenoids Three phase AC motors, principles and basic testing
Overview of 18th edition regulations, lighting and sockets and testing Electronics, principles and practical set up of DC power supply Basic AC motor control, wiring of DOL, star Delta and forward reverse circuits AC variable speed drives, principles and set up of simple drive systems DC and single phase AC motors, principles and basic testing PAT testing overview Earthing systems, types and practical testing Basic automation, design and wire up of simple control circuits Programmable logic controllers, induction and basic programming Static electricity Understanding principles of the Building Regulations and Part P basic overview Temperature control, basic understanding.

Not all of these subjects will apply to each course, we generally try to tailor to suit the requirements
