Cultural and Creative Industries - Art, 3D Design and Fashion

Study Method:
As a full time student, you will receive 15 hours contact usually delivered over two long days.
Duration :2 Year
Who the Course is For:
This Foundation Degree is aimed at creative people who are excited by all aspects of design - from product design to architecture taking in interior design, graphics and computer modeling along the way.
Assessment:
Assessment is through coursework and is carried out by the course team and external examiners. Assignments use a variety of formats including practical projects, presentations, written reports, portfolio and observations
Course Leads To:
This Foundation Degree is validated by the University of East London and sucessful graduates of this FdA can progress into the third year of the BA (Hons) Product Design (Futures) at UEL> Progression to BA (Hons) programmes at other universitites is usually dependent on portfolio. The programme also prepares students for employment in the creative industries.

Content:
This exciting course, builds on our previous sucess in delivering the HND programmes and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a range of practical and theoretical skills applicable to the 3D design industry. These include the creation and manipulation of 2D and 3D images and concepts, development of practical model making skills, marketing and business skills and professional practice in industry. These generic skills and knowledge can be applied in a variety of areas within 3D design such as product design, interior design, architecture, furniture design, animation, industrial design etc. Students will have the opportunity to respond to project briefs within their specialist interest area as well as exploring several different pathways. Work placement is an important aspect of the second year of the course.
