Course programme

What you will study

Digital DJ systems and the functions of various hardware controllers and digital DJ software including Traktor and Torq. Analogue (Vinyl) DJ systems, track cueing, beat matching, mixer functions; eq, faders, gain levels. Use of effects for creative mixing; filters, beat-repeats, gating, looping. Beat structures, song structures, analysis of intros/outros, set planning, scratch techniques; baby scratches, transforms, cuts, stabs, crabs, flares, basic combinations.
