Mobile communications are arguably reaching saturation point in the world’s most technologically advanced countries. They’re also rapidly becoming the main telecommunications infrastructure for the rest of the world.

With technology such as 5G, mobile communications will connect many things such as cars and other modes of transport, factories, homes and, of course, people in general. Giving us access to smarter operational efficiency in a variety of areas, this technology could improve the country’s productivity.

Our MSc in 5G and Future Generation Communication Systems gives you a thorough understanding of the engineering aspects of this rapidly developing field, as well as new emerging systems for the support of broadband mobile internet.

We’re home to the world’s largest academic research group specialising in 5G communications. Founding members of this include the UK’s major mobile operators, so you’ll be exposed to advanced communications and benefit from modules which focus on current 4G and future 5G technologies.
