Introduction:
This assessor training programme is designed to enable practising and potential assessors to assess NVQ candidates by using a variety of assessment methods. This programme is for experienced dental nurses working in practice and wanting to become qualified NVQ assessors for Dental Nursing NVQ programmes.
Study Mode & Location:
This course will be held at Bamber Bridge Learning Centre, 60 School Lane, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6QE or at the students workplace.
Course Content:
This course consists of:
- 2 days full training
- 2 half day portfolio building workshops
- ongoing tutorial support - 4 hours
- Registration with the awarding body
Assessment:
Students will build a portfolio of evidence to a national standard and will be observed giving feedback to NVQ candidates.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course will enable assessors to develop assessment plans, judge evidence, give feedback to NVQ candidates and contribute to the internal quality assurance process.
Costs: The cost of this course is £525.
Other Information:
The A1 Award is one Unit of the NVQ 3 in Learning and Development and also provides a platform from which to eventually progress to the V1 Verifier Award.
How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
