Description
The aim of the workshop training is to gain in-depth technical knowledge of the Locksmith trade and to understand the workings of the majority of locks which will be encountered in domestic or commercial premises.
Teaching will include stripping and assembling locks, making keys by hand and machine and picking the locks open. Other opening methods will be taught using specialist equipment, training is given on locking systems found on wooden, aluminium and UPVC doors and what to expect when encountering steel doors found at commercial premises such as final exit doors and grill-type gates.
Along with all of the above, business advice is given from professionals with regard to business set up and finance. Advice will be given on vehicle stocking, lay-out and equipment and even what type of vehicle to use.
We will also help you acquire accounts at the major locksmith supply companies in the country. This will allow you to purchase stock at trade price, for your van, specialist tools and any other requirements. You will also receive a full set of course notes and a specialist picking set.
