The aim of this NVQ A2 Assessor qualification is to ensure quality assurance within the assessment of NVQ's and contribute to overall performance in all industries and occupations. The purpose is to enable candidates to assess candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods. You will be able to give candidates feedback on assessment decisions and contribute to internal quality assurance processes of nvq qualifications.

The A2 NVQ assessor course is made up of one unit which is divided into the following four sections.
-Develop plans for assessing competence with learners
-Judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions
-Provide feedback and support to learners on assessment decisions
-Contribute to the internal quality assurance process
What will you need for the course?
You will need to have competency of the nvq's you want to assess
You will need to assess two nvq candidates for the course (FPT can facilitate this)
You will need to complete the A2 portfolio
What can l do on completion?
Successful completion of this course entitles you to become a qualified NVQ assessor. You will be able to assess nvq which you are competent in. Competency includes work experience and qualifications in that subject area.
