About the course
This course allows you to develop your creativity by studying, developing and creating a range of textile designs, including fashion and domestic textiles. You will use the college's excellent facilities to help make your visions a reality. Your designs will be supported by critical research, including studying textiles from outside the European tradition.

Subjects covered You will study a wide range of textile designs including fashion, printing, dyed fabric and interior design. You will experiment with a wide range of methods such as printing, stitching, spraying and dyeing. All your work will be informed by a wide range of research and building of your understanding of the history of textile design. Assessment Pattern AS Course 1. Portfolio of work: No Time Limit, % of AS Grade. Your work is marked by your lecturer and moderated by AQA. 2. Externally Set Assignment: hours of supervised time, % of AS Grade. You will develop work to a brief set by AQQ. Your work is marked by your lecturer and moderated by AQA. Additional A Level Unit 1. Personal investigation: No Time Limit, % of A Level Grade. Your work is marked by your lecturer and moderated by AQA. 2. Externally Set Assignment: hours of supervised time. % of A Level Grade. Your work is marked by your lecturer and moderated by AQA.
