Course Content: We will explore: How language choices shape meaning in texts Ways in which texts are interpreted by different readers or listeners Ways in which texts relate to each other and to the contexts in which they are produced and received How to apply linguistic and literary methodologies and concepts to inform learners’ responses to and interpretations of texts. How will I be assessed? First (AS) year: assessment is 100% by exam Second year: assessment is 80% by exam and 20% by coursework. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required?
