What will I do on this course?

This course will enable you to express your ideas and opinions on a range of topics in both oral and written work. Lessons are varied and interesting, including:
· Debates and discussions
· Role plays
· Group and pair work
· Individual work and presentations.

As part of the course you will cover:

· Speaking, listening, reading and writing
· The culture and society in French speaking countries
· Understanding native speakers and written materials
· Coping with working in a French speaking country
· Developing self-expression, taking your competencies to a further
level.

You will be encouraged to use the Learning Resource Centre in your own time.

How will I be assessed?
Through a combination of the following:
· Written examinations
· Oral exams
· Listening and reading comprehension exams
· Coursework.

A Level French combined with other related A Levels will give you access to a wide range of degrees including: Business, Law or Philosophy. Alternatively, you could study one or more languages exclusively. Use of French is always appreciated in other countries and is an important skill in business and professional life.
