What will I do on this course?

A Level Law will help you to better understand the world we live in. Law helps you to develop skills of critical analysis and debate.

AS Law includes units on:

· Who makes the law
· The role of solicitors, barristers and jurors
· Sentencing by the courts
· Powers of the police to stop and search.

A2 Law includes units on:

· Murder
· Manslaughter
· Theft
· Burglary
· Robbery and other crimes.

You will have the opportunity to see a real court setting, which is a valuable practical experience.

How will I be assessed?
Assessed through examinations.

Progression
An A Level in Law combined with other related A Levels will give you access to Law at degree level, or to study for an Institute of Legal Executives qualification. Many of our students go on to study law at university. Career opportunities exist in local government, the finance sector, solicitors, the police force
