Would you like to learn about physics? Then this course offered by Emagister will interest you! We present the A Level Physics Course imparted by Home Study Zone, which will promote the passion for physics of its students and will lay the foundations to continue studying science or engineering.

This online distance learning physics level course is perfect for anyone who wants to receive knowledge and understanding of this subject or for anyone who wants to study at a higher level at the University and obtain UCAS points. You will also find this course very valuable if you are looking for a progress path to continue your training while you are employed.

This level A Physics course is part of the new linear qualifications. This means that participants will take exams for their particular qualification at the end of the completed course in the June series.

The course will be taught online, with the support of a tutor for two years. All assignments are marked by one of our professional tutors, who will provide comments on a regular basis and guide you through your course. A Level

  • Paper 1 will cover content from topics 1-5 and 6.1 (Periodic Motion)

  • Paper 2 will cover content from topics 6.2 (Thermal Physics), 7 and 8

  • Paper 3 will cover content from topics:

Section A: Compulsory section: Practical skills and data analysis

Section B: Students enter for one of the options

Practical assessments have been divided into those that can be assessed in written exams and those that can only be directly assessed whilst students are carrying out experiments.

A-level grades will be based only on marks from written exams.

A separate endorsement of practical skills will be taken alongside the A-level. This will be assessed by teachers and will be based on direct observation of students‰Ûª competency in a range of skills that are not assessable in written exams.

N.B. The practical skills are separate to the overall A‰Ûª Level grade. So, if students do not gain the practical endorsement, they can still receive the A‰Ûª Level qualification at the end of the two years.

However, a number of Universities have already stated: if a student is going on to do a Science based degree, they would expect students to have a pass in the practical endorsement. You should check with the relevant University what their exact requirements are.
