Course programme
Physical Education is the scientific study of sport performance. It provides students with both a practical and theoretical insight into athletic achievement. The AS course is completed in Year 1 and the A2, or full A Level, is completed in Year 2. The course covers physiological and psychological factors that improve performance, socio/cultural and historical effects on participation and their influence on performance. Students also complete coursework. The course has links to the sciences and fits very well with the Biology A Level course.
