Introduction:
This course provides you with the knowledge and understanding to achieve competence in Financial and Management accounting at an Intermediate level. The requirements of the course are based on nationally agreed standards of competence. The education and training scheme is designed to provide the maximum flexibility to suit candidates from a wide range of circumstances and with diverse backgrounds.

Study Mode & Location:
The course is designed to be a distance learning course. Tutor support will be available via e-mail/telephone at pre-arranged times and you will be required to attend college for examinations and skills test.

Course Content:
The units you will study are as follows:

• Financial accounting (exam)
• Recording and analysing costs and revenues (exam)
• Operating a cash management and credit control system (skills test)
• Accounting work skills (skills test)
• Professional ethics for Accounting Technicians (skills test)

Assessment:
You will be assessed via two examinations and three skills tests.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
The Advanced Certificate (Level 3) provides a platform from which to eventually progress to the AAT Diploma or NVQ Level 4 in Accounting. The AAT is an international qualification which is well regarded in the accounting industry.

Additional Costs:
AAT fees are payable directly to AAT - for up to date information.

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.

Money Matters
Depending upon your circumstances, you may be able to study at a reduced price.
