About this course

This course is ideally suited for those who already have a basic knowledge of the accounting enviroment, either through previous study or through practical experience. All candidates who apply will be interviewed by a member of the AAT team to assess their suitability for entry onto the programme. Level 1 English and Maths is also essential.

Introduction:
This course provides you with the knowledge and understanding to achieve competence in Financial and Management accounting at an Intermediate level. The requirements of the course are based on nationally agreed standards of competence. The education and training scheme is designed to provide the maximum flexibility to suit candidates from a wide range of circumstances and with diverse backgrounds.

Study Mode & Location:
The course is designed to be a distance learning course. Tutor support will be available via e-mail/telephone at pre-arranged times and you will be required to attend college for examinations and skills tests.

Assessment:
You will be assessed via one examinations and one skills test.

The Certificate (Level 2) provides a platform from which to eventually progress to the AAT Advanced certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Accounting. The AAT is an international qualification which is well regarded in the accounting industry.

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
