Brief Description of the Course

The ANA course is designed for those students currently working in veterinary practice who wish to expand their knowledge and practical skills; it provides a recognised and valued qualification. It allows students to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

On successful completion of the course the students will have attained 3 x GCSE equivalents including Science. A time scale of 10 weeks is allowed for each module to complete the tasks. The course is assessed through internal and external moderations. To pass the qualification learners are expected to cover all the learning outcomes through an assessment. The assessments are presented in various methods – assignments, MCQ’s, short answer questions, case studies, practical tasks and witness statements.

Students will need to structure their own study time and practical assessment within the veterinary practice.
