Abrasive Wheels Abrasive Wheels are potentially dangerous. Most accidents result from selecting the wrong type of wheel or from over-speeding. It is essential that the right abrasive wheel for the job is chosen; that it is correctly mounted by a competent person, that it is run at the correct speed, and that guards and eye protection are used.
Abrasive Wheels are work equipment under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998.
