3. Entry requirements This course is open to suitable candidates who demonstrate sufficient interest and commitment. There are no formal entry requirements, but candidates should have English and preferably Maths GCSE (grades A*-C) or equivalent. You will be invited to discuss your suitability and needs at interview and may be asked to undertake an initial assessment. Additionally, students whose first language is not English require an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.We recommend that candidates who do not currently have English and Maths GCSE (grades A* - C) should consider the Preparing for Advanced Study Scheme (PASS) programme or consider studying GCSEs part-time at the College. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Students are supported through good/outstanding learning and rigorous assessment. You will participate in a number of in-class activities, presentations, classroom discussion on visual and written ethnographies, documentaries. There will be routine essays, assignments and enrichment activities. There will be at least one formal essay on each unit as well as an Extended Independent Academic Study unit. You will be supported in developing their critical thinking skills, essay writing skills, communication & presentation skills. You will also be supported in your use of ICT for study as well as your reviewing & planning for the future skills.
